Lulu Press is currently looking for an Automation Engineer to help us improve the reliability of our site. Over the last few years, we have invested heavily into a new cloud-native software platform based on a microservice architecture. Now, the building blocks have been laid and we will transition our production environment to the new platform. Infrastructure as code, test automation, and cultivating a DevOps culture are priorities for us. We want to reduce manual testing and rely on automated tests for our software delivery.
This position is based at our head office in Morrisville, NC.
You will be a member of our DevOps team, together with QA engineers and software developers. You will implement test cases at various levels (ex. service-level, end to end [e2e], performance) and integrate them into our development pipelines. Since we are a small team, your word will matter when choosing technologies and frameworks for testing. Ultimately, our goal is to provide the best experience for our users.
Why you want to join the Lulu Team
As a curious individual who wants to make the world a better place, you are keen to take on a challenging role at Lulu.com – developing an industry to help the world move knowledge from one generation to the next more efficiently and without barriers.
Since 2002, Lulu Press has enabled authors in more than 225 countries and territories to self-publish millions of publications. Publishing is largely dominated by a small group of established companies. These companies stifle innovation and exploit authors and readers alike. Our goal to disrupt the traditional publishing landscape continues, and that's why we are looking to find exceptionally talented developers like you.
Lulu pioneered the sharing economy by providing free publishing tools so that everyone, everywhere, can share their knowledge and tell their story. Using cutting edge technology, we produce high quality eBooks and print-on-demand products via sustainable sourcing and environmentally conscious manufacturing practices. Our employees are committed to making our communities and the world a better place by providing unrivaled customer service to one author, one idea, one book at a time. It's part of our story. What's yours?
We’re currently recruiting for the position of Customer Voice Associate (temporary), a role where you respond to customer queries. This position is 40 hours per week through approximately mid to the end of April 2020 though it could be longer.
